Graham B
UK Born DJ Graham B was described as the “Godfather of Jazzdance” by Orr Magazine in the mid.
His famous Jazz Bop parties at Amsterdam’s Paradiso where legendary and his work as a club and radio DJ and party organiser paved the way for the successes of young turks such as Meastro and The Wicked Jazz Sounds crew.
He also co-founded and produced the first two albums of the New Cool Collective which has gone on to become one of hollands top jazz acts and credited by Adrian Gibson, booker of London’s famous Camden Jazz Café, as ‘one of the ten best live performing jazz outfits in the world today’.
In recent years Graham set up a new DJ/Musician combo called Jazz Juice along with multi instrumentalist and producer Alain Eskinasi.
Dubbed by reviewers, “the mighty Jazz Juice”, they have scored a string of hit dancefloor singles (including a track featuring TamaraMaria) and recently released the projects debut album 52nd Street (out on Freestyle Records and available on iTunes). Graham and Alain had already established themselves as a successful production duo by winning an Edison in 2004. This was in recognition for their work on their Electro Coco album made with Brazilian singer Viviani Godoy and entitled Coco Do Mundo (Coast to Coast).
Although very much involved in production these days (he’s currently busy working on his debut solo album) Graham still plays regular DJ dates. He is currently one of the infamous gang of four behind Sugar Factory’s progressive Electro night called DiscoCult.
As a DJ with twenty years experience and a very eclectic taste he can play many styles from classic old soul, funk, disco, house, hip hop & Rn’b to the latest broken beat and Electro. However, playing “funky jazz sets with lots of latin swing” still remains one of his favourite occupations.
