This traditional jazz-band was formed in 1982 in Gothenburg,
from the best Swedish musicians available. This means that all
the musicians are very experienced when it comes to play jazz.
The band had a quick international opening when they went to
play at the International Jazz Festival at Dunkerque (France).
Mysto won the competition and was appointed as the European
Champions of Traditional Jazz.
The music Mysto plays, is a happy one, and many members have
their idioms related to the British Jazz that was played during
the fifties and sixties. Chris Barber and Ken Colyer are very
good examples of this style. In fact, after performing in England,
a newspaper wrote about Mysto:'...and they played the best British
Jazz we have heard for ages!'.
Mysto's Hot Lips has produced several CD's and Cassettes which
are for sale during the concert.
